Solar Impulse


Last week Thursday, July 8th, the guys from Solar Impulse broke world records by flying for 24 hours on solar energy. That's correct 100% emmision free and just flying on batteries through the night.

The specs of the aircraft they used:
* the wingspan of an Airbus A340 (63.40 m)
* the weight of a motor car (1,600 kg)
* the engine power of a scooter (40 CV).
